DEAD SPACE 3: Did I craft that?

Holy creaks and corners! Well, we’re back with the 3rd installment of Dead Space.  Okay, I get it.  This review is a little late, but it’s taken me a bit.  I have a JOB.  Not sure if any of you understand that.

So, let’s begin. If it’s been a while since you’ve played the Dead Space series from the main menu you can find your way to the a video that will try to sell you on storyline plot.  I’m not going to go through this game level after level, but I will tell you that I like how they put you back into this world with the first 15 min of game play.  Although nothing will beat Dead Space 2 intro…LOVED the straight jacket.

Now, I’m not one that gets startled that easy, but I ALWAYS play my games with my headphones (Tritons AX720) this game really takes advantage of surround sound. The unsettling noises and the score for this game…AMAZING. Well done Jason Graves and James Hannigan.  So yeah, this game fucking got me a few times.  Visceral Games did a good job at keeping you pre occupied and focused only to break that with some loud noise from a Necromorph.

By now you’ve probably played Dead Space 3 all the way through or at least some of it.  For me the game was good.  I wouldn’t say great but it was good.  I feel as though Visceral may have forgotten about the story line and may have been just to into getting the next one out.  One of my biggest complaints is the amount of Mini games you have to play to get to the end of the game.  Kind of reminds me of a Resident Evil 1 and 2 genre.

As I played through the game there were many aspects I loved about this game, the weapon crafting in this game added a lot.  I’m still trying to make better weapons, it’s addicting.  The combat in this game in my opinion is one of the best I’ve played.  With the options you have to use during combat, the tools, technics, and the weapons you spent 2 hours crafting…seriously 2 hours. The combat is never the same.

Another level to this game is the suits you wear.  Here’s something  awesome, if you’ve played Mass Effect 3 and have a save on your Xbox, you get a Mass Effect 3 suit! WTF!!! RAD.  The suits however do help, depending on what you’re doing in the game.  So remember that…you’re welcome. You owe me.

ds3_researchfacility_05Graphically I think that this game is top notch.  There are a few glitches, but what games doesn’t have them?  The one thing that I know a lot of people have been talking about is the micro transactions. Does this hurt the game play in any way? No it doesn’t, you have the option to buy, this could make your crafting move along quicker, but with the amount of dying that you’ll do you have plenty of time to gather resources, and use bots to gather resources, that micro transactions….well honestly, you’ll forget they’re even there.

I like the game a lot and when I can try to forget about the games story line and just get into the zone of the game, all in all this is a great play.  If you haven’t played Game+ you’re missing out though.  This makes it all that much better.

So there is a ton of crap that I could try to cram into this review but in a nutshell, this game is good.  I’d recommend it.  However I will say this and I don’t want to spoil anything, because some people here at RmoteControl.com haven’t finished the game.  But seriously? What the FUCK kind of ending is that?

That being said.  Go out and buy this damn game.  It’s fun, keeps your attention and you’ll be addicted to the weapons crafting.

That’s it I’m done.

@adonislang I would have to agree with you. The crafting is my favorite part.
